A bright, articulate and creative sales/account management professional is required for a busy membership and professional services organisation in the IT customer service industry.
The role involves developing and maintaining business-level relationships with key suppliers and industry organisations, such that they become successful channel partners selling and delivering key services - training, certification, consulting and research. Partners will include product and software suppliers, managed services organisations, training and consulting companies and other industry bodies.
The person required will be familiar with the channel approach to business development and ideally have direct experience of the IT Service Management (ITSM) Industry. Operating at a number of levels including executive-level, the person will possess excellent communications skills (written, oral and presentational) and be comfortable defining and promoting value-based and intellectual property (IP)-based propositions.
Candidates should possess at least 2 of the following:
* 3 years experience of a channel sales role
* 3 years experience of B2B Sales, particularly in a consulting or training environment
* 2 years experience in the ITSM or Service Desk industry
* 2 years experience in a membership, training or consulting organisation
Candidates should be educated to degree level or equivalent, with ideally a broad base of employment experience.
The role is based in Orpington, Kent with an expectation of regular UK and some foreign travel. This is a 'hands on' role managing all aspects of the partner relationship lifecycle, from prospecting to closure and ongoing account management.

HDI are looking for an experienced researcher to carry out industry research work and also to provide marketing research as required. The role includes development of a number of industry initiatives as well as direct report writing and research work.

This role will suit someone who enjoys dealing with people and wants an interesting and varied role. The candidate must be able to prioritise their workload and meet sometimes tight deadlines. Some knowledge of ITIL / IT Service Management or experience of working in a Service Desk environment would be ideal but is not a requirement. Experience of basic data analysis would also be desirable but is not essential.
Responsibilities include:
- Writing questions for both qualitative and quantitative surveys for a variety of projects
- Basic analysis of research findings
- Preparation of literature including PowerPoint presentations publicising research findings
- Experience of collecting data from various sources and by various means
- Identifying trends following industry wide literature review
- Carrying out Customer Satisfaction Surveys on behalf of our clients and presenting findings in a clear way
- Conducting face to face interviews as part of qualitative research projects – sometimes at a senior level
- Responding to member helpline queries
- Provision of information to consultants and trainers if required
- Running a Benchmark Buddy industry networking scheme
